Visas for Life: The Remarkable Story of Chiune and Yukiko Sugihara

Chiune Sugihara, circa 1920. Sugihara attended Harbin Gakuin University in Manchuria, China. He excelled at languages, especially Russian. One year after he graduated he was asked to teach there. The Japanese language school had a motto: "Do much for others, and expect little in return." This motto would influence Sugihara for the rest of his life.
